|
The Institute also conducts the Insurance Proficiency Certificate ( IPC ) Examination for those who are interested in having a basic knowledge of Insurance. |
|
|
The CIIN will accept, as evidence of stated qualifications only photocopies of original certificates that have been certified. Certification in Lagos Should be by any Director General of the Institute. In the institute's centres outside Lagos , certification should be by any two of the following officers of the centre – Chairman, Secretary and Education Secretary. Such certification is to the effect that both original and the photocopy have been inspected by those concerned, that the original is a genuine document which has been altered or defaced in any way, and the photocopy is a true and unaltered representation of the original. Uncertified photocopies will not be accepted. The same applies to evidences relating to changes in name (e.g. by marriage) if such names are different from those shown on certificates |

THE INSTITUTE HAS SUCCESSFULLY EFFECTED A NEW SYLLABUS WITH EFFECT FROM OCTOBER, 2007.
THE NEW SYLLABUS OFFERS A THREE-TIER QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK:
1. CERTIFICATE IN INSURANCE
2. DIPLOMA IN INSURANCE
3. ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN INSURANCE
TO QUALIFY FOR ANY OF THE QUALIFICATIONS, CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO GARNER CREDIT THRESHOLDS AS FOLLOWS:
CERTIFICATE IN INSURANCE - 45CREDITS
DIPLOMA IN INSURANCE - 110CREDITS
ADV. DIPLOMA IN INSURANCE - 290CREDITS |
